On 21 May 2022, the non-profit organization known as Bringing Broken Neighborhoods Back to Life (BBNBTL) hosted a community gathering where numerous churches and resource agencies collaborated in order to give back to the community.  Organizations such as the Selma Police Department, The First Baptist Church, Take it by Force, the Fresno Work Development Board, The Domestic Violence Hotline and many more outreach programs were involved in presenting the opportunity of prayer as well as offering various supporting resources and workshops to bring the community of Selma together.  To begin the event, the Selma High School MCJROTC Color Guard presented the National Colors during the singing of the National Anthem and 20 other Cadets volunteered by helping the outreach programs with their contribution to the community.  This event included prayer, music, performances, raffles, lunch, bouncy houses and even games for the kids to support the theme of  “Restoring Broken Neighborhoods”.
