On Memorial Day (27 May 2019), in support of the American Legion Selma Post-12, the SHS MCJROTC Program provided troop formations and other key aspects partaking in the Annual Selma Memorial Day Ceremony.  The Ceremony involved the SHS Cadet Corps Commander commanding the troops throughout the ceremony, the Color Guard presenting the National Colors for the National Anthem and a Firing Detail which performed the traditional 21 Gun Salute which involves the firing of volleys to render a salute and honor all fallen comrades that paid the ultimate sacrifice defending our beloved country.  This event took place at the Selma District Cemetery which was decorated with over 600 US Flags containing names of just a few of our fallen Military family members from the community of Selma, CA.
